This page covers what happens to the numbers you type into a HELOC or home equity calculator here, and what little we collect about you as a visitor.
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you type in a home value, a mortgage balance or a rate, JavaScript on your own device does the multiplying and dividing and shows you the result on the spot. That figure never reaches a server we operate. We don't log it, store it or see it, because it never leaves your screen in the first place.
We use standard, aggregated analytics to get a rough sense of how many people visit and which calculator page they landed on. That count has nothing to do with the specific balance or rate you ran through a tool, since we never receive that number at all.
The banner asking for your consent covers two things: letting Google show ads that are somewhat relevant instead of random, and letting our analytics count your visit. Decline it and every calculator on this site still works exactly the same way.
This site runs Google AdSense. Google and its ad partners may use cookies to help decide which ad to show you, based on browsing you've done elsewhere on the web. You can adjust or turn off ad personalization through Google's own ad settings page.
A handful of links here point to other calculators or services we think are worth a look, and a couple of those are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you click through and use them. It costs you nothing extra either way.
We revise this page whenever something about how the site actually collects or handles data changes, not on a fixed schedule. If anything here reads as out of date or wrong, let us know and we'll fix it.
